The List Of Lies
The list of lies,
lies people have told me,
is too many to count.
Loved ones,
enemies,
friends,
foes.
All have told me lies,
lies I can add to my list.
They said I could trust them,
one lie.
They said I could tell them anything,
two lies.
They said they would love me forever,
three lies.
So many lies.
Why? What have I done?
I'm just naive I suppose.
Naive for believing I could trust them,
or trust anybody.
I can only trust myself,
sometimes that's not even the case.
Now I lie to myself,
more lies.
More to add to,
the list of lies.
