Night
I paint the world with vague, neutral colors.
I weave the blanket of secrets that burden every star
With a dark, opaque thread.
I taste the darkness upon the air.
The gentle pull of my nearly invisible shadow
Lead me further away from the light.
I sense the mysteries around every corner.
Dancing just out of sight
They tempt me with their aloof nature.
The night whispers of secrets untold.
The unknown comforts as well as terrifies.
Nameless creatures of terrible beauty remain concealed within the darkness.
