Demented little fairy tale,
With murder, rage, and strife,
And yet it entertains me,
The revenge of taking life.
And then poor little Marjory,
Who doesn't deserve guilt,
It was her mothers conscience,
Which held the death swords hilt.
Demented little fairy tale,
For a demented little girl,
My favorite of their stories,
The brothers Grimm's black pearl.
I'll read it too my children,
Unedited and true,
I didn't hear it when I was young,
So I'll make sure they do.
