A stack of poetry
Consigned to the flames
If only it could burn away
The hurt and the pain
The sorrow and loneliness
But it can't
All it does is burn stupid words
Things I wrote to you
And you no longer care about
I'd burn it all if you'd come back
But you won't
This beacon burns in vain
