Dew drops twinkling like diamonds
Shook with the wind
But clutched determinedly to a lacey web
That veiled the blooming bush of scarlet,
Velvet petaled roses and shivered
In sync with the rest of the world as the
Cold dawn atmosphere fades
A ghostly reminder of the bitter night
The light blue sky shy with spots of soft pink
Covers the nightly stars like a blanket
Golden rays of sunlight
Leak into the darkest crevices
Waking whatever lie in their paths
With a bath of glorious warmth
A radiant promise of day
