What goes up,
must come down.
What soars high,
crashes hard.
We were one
as an eagle.
Above pain and hardships.
Above authority and judgement.
The illusion fades,
clouds dissipate,
fireworks cease.
the light- sucked into darkness.
All alone, I am left
to sit among the rubble
of our shattered dreams,
and fragmented souls.
With only my broken wings.

Love is only too complicated to be understood without metaphors and the use of images.
Heartbreak. It can never fully be captured. This is my attempt.
