You Danced With Me
I still hear your lullabies
Crashing waves and painted skies
Hear the music in the street
You took my hand and danced with me
And when I cried you held me tight
Helped me through the lonely night
We watched the moon and fireflies
You pulled me close I closed my eyes
Every night I’d see your face
Your wicked smile your warm embrace
And when life got hard to bear
I’d just make believe you were here
You promised you would never go
And leave me standing on my own
You’d love me till you died
I should have known you’d lie
I still hear your lullabies
Crashing waves and painted skies
Hear the music in the street
Watched you walk away from me
