It’s the first night of serious fall
Heat recklessly soothes the air
Earth’s music repeats itself in chirps
The sky is not black just yet
Simple blue eats the heavens
No mere sparkle can be spotted
The moon floats on top of the trees
Like a hole punched with a halo of foam
Whispers of summer settle
Hiding the secret northern breeze
All is living at rest
Morning will phase to memory
At daylight, life is about to change
