The Circle
If the heavenly figures up above
Had the gift of vision to see,
Then they would be witnesses
To both beauty and cruelty.
The way mankind loves
And the way mankind hates,
The way we misinterpret the meaning of fate
And the way we pray for wars to end.
Red rash, red wrath,
Red wine is spilled
On this pebbled path as
We forget to take time to think.
Too busy in our own little worlds,
Too blind to see the halo of truth,
Too lost in our own catastrophes
To consider our actual responsibilities.
But the real world moves on
Like a circle without a circumference,
Opening doors to wonders
You could have never imagined.
Life is full of distractions,
Too good to be true,
So don’t waste this chance
Because the world does not revolve around you.
