There always another way.

The brick wall that surrounds them is way to tall
unable to climb over, not capable of going around
No doors lead out, no windows show them light
Thoughts of escape as they scream
Throwing fists at the hard brick walls
pounding heads on the solid cage
Falling to the icy floor
Waking to find themselfs entrapped
Chains clasped around their wrists
Rope burns their throat
The more they know the tighter everything gets
The more they see the farther they fall
Fire licks their feet below them
The cold flame a terrifing memory
throwing tantrums as last resorts
Preparing for the inner war
Fighting the pain as they become desprate
Finally released with no sense of self
The warriors watch them with pity
As they point them the way home
No one comes back unburdened
Knowing that what they did was horrible
Knowing that this is the only way to protect those they love
Soldiers who face more then gun shots and explossions
Fighters who know nothing of the inner battle they will soon fight
As they walk out onto the battle field
Fresh complete and terrified at the excitement waiting for them
Looking death in the face as they fight to protect their homes and love ones
Both sides of the battle fighting for the same things
