My Lost Love
Oh, my lost love, can you hear me tonight?
You’re on every thought that goes through my mind
My love for you has reached a whole new height
In my heart and head, you’re one of a kind
Your death, it brought so much pain and sorrow
My heart, it is in thousands of pieces
How will I make it through to tomorrow?
This pain in my heart, it never ceases
Countless nights of this unending sadness
My sanity is beginning to wane
I am slowly slipping into madness
From this aching, chilling, and breaking pain
Now that you are gone, I will slip away
I will hide from the light and the new day

Also, now that I look at it, it could be interpreted at song lyrics, though they weren't meant to be. But now that I go back and read them, a tune does come to mind. I am still going to list it as a free verse though.
