A Missing Part of Me
Hanging on by a breaking thread,
Feeling hollow inside;feeling dead,
Something is missing; a part of me,
Something is missing; but what can it be?,
There's no light; only black,
As days slip by I begin to loose track,
Hours turn to days; days to weeks,
And still something's missing; my life is so bleak,
Then one day, out of the blue,
A blinidng light comes shining through,
The light dims down and now I can see,
Now I know what this light must be,
There he stood with smoldering eyes,
Full of mystery but not any lies,
His eyes are honest and full of grief,
And I stand there starring in disbelief,
He glances my way and stops dead in his tracks,
He stares at me so I stare right back,
And for a moment,we're all alone,
standing still like we're made of stone,
Lost in each others mesmerizing eyes,
I can't tear my gaze away no matter how hard I try,
Then he walks toward me and takes my hand,
Everything becomes clear; now I understand,
What was missing inside of me all along,
It's like finding the lyrics to a missing song,
We are like 2 birds; 2 love filled doves,
We are made for one another; this feeling, is love.
