My Own Mind
I can see the sunshine
But I cannot feel the heat
I'm covered all in blankets
Yet I'm frozen to my seat
I cannot look around me
I cannot hear a sound
But somehow I still know
There's lots of things around
Feel these things around me
Tell me what they are
Tell me what they stand for
Or if they glitter like a star
There are voices now
I hear them
They're crying out to me
But I cannot move a muscle
I cannot help or flee
I try to scream
I try to fight
But somehow I still know
I'm trapped inside my own mind
While I'm trying to let go
