It burns your heart
making you want to spit fire.
It clouds your judgement,
making you silly and irrational.

To get rid of this fire
I transfer the flames into this pen.
All has escaped me
and I face my fears on this sheet of paper.

I feel drained and sad.
The tears threaten to overflow.
I hold my head high
and place a smile on my face.
