Her heart turned into jello the night she turned 18. Red jello, she told everyone, so that it would blend in with her other organs. Chunks of jello broke off and flew through her bloodstream, her blue veins pulsating faster, pumping the small pieces through her body, wrecking havoc in their paths. One day the last piece of jello broke off and filtered through her system. Red jello, she told everyone, there used to be red jello under my ribcage. But now she was empty.
