RED POISON
you swirl your cup
of red poison
and your screaming
is slurred
i'm suprised you even remember me at night
when you drink
you become a whole different person
a mean nasty person
not my [mom,father]
you sip glass after glass
bottle after bottle
then, in the morning
you grip, and mumble
about a headache
and i just hold back my anger
as you get another pill
to ease your own faults
you are possessed by the wine
'death by the bottle'
it hurts us,
it hurts me
to watch you
drink your pain away
my eyes tearing
as i go to my room
then i cry for you
dont you see what you're doing?
you just seem so oblivious i know i will
vow to never touch the red poison
because of the harm
to everyone around you
one day you'll realize
that drinking is bad
but when the day comes
it will be to late...
