Someday
She was wearing an oversize gown,
lying motionlessly on a hard bed,
while, she would much rather lie in a field of hay,
surrounded only by prairie air, and
Shaded by the dark sky, laminated by sparkling stars.
Someday, she would sit on a deck, breathing the
air, scented by the water lilies on the water, and gazing
at the lake, so still and serene, undisturbed by the mild breeze.
Someday, she would reach the top of the white, snowy mountains, and
glide down so freely, her only burden being a parachute on her back.
As she thought of all the things she wanted to do,
and all the places she yearned to visit,
Drops of tears fell from her heavy lids,
she whispered, “Someday...”.
Seconds after, a loud beep spawned from a hefty machine.
“Time of death: 11:12 AM”.
