Clues
This was something
That we always knew
How many time did they tell me
That I was better than you?
How many times did I tell them,
No, it isnt like that.
How many times did I stand up for you
Just to have you stab me in the back?
Well I’m glad that it’s over
It’s time to move on.
Just a few more months to go
And you’ll be gone.
Let me just say
That I can’t wait
To find somebody else who cares.
Someone who can see me when
I’m standing right there.
It’s not enough to say you’re sorry.
No, not this time.
Someone needs to stand up and
Punish you for your crimes
And I can honestly say that
I’m no longer scared of you
Because I know I’d never kiss a friend
Just to walk away again.
I wouldn’t do that to someone who cares.
To someone who has been there for you.
Just goes to show
Sometimes when you’re gone
They still dont miss you.
And you’ll never have a clue.
