Simmering
How many times I wanted to say I love you
But I held back because maybe it wasnt true
It felt true
Maybe I only think I loved you
Oh i loved you
Feel it in the blue
The black covering the love that was never there
Black everywhere
Black covering you
Hiding you
Pulling you away
Watch you escape
Run twisting through my thoughts
And you’re gone
Never to be seen again
What a friend
Only a friend would run away from me
And come back time after time to continue the hurting you paused
Well come back anytime to play the game you left behind
Its always here where you left it
Simmering in my mind
My eyes only saw you and for so long its kept me blind
Hiding in my words
And between the lines
You hear the laughs of an unfinished game to be played.
This is your last round
And my last mistake.
Watch me as I drift away.
