Fertile Feelings
This black that surrounds me
Is heavier than your guilt.
Anything is heavier than your guilt.
Everything is less messy than the hurt you’ve spilt.
Now watch me stand up taller
Than any lie you’ve ever built.
See me work between the stitching
Of this master plan that you’ve been knitting.
You keep me secure and suffocated under your quilt.
Your heart is dry as dirt.
My eyes are moist like silt.
Mud leaks out my eyes
Flowers sprout stems and fly
Higher than any bet you’ve ever placed.
Faster than any car you’ve ever raced.
Tempting you more than a nice set of legs and a pretty face.
Im brushing my teeth and my hair.
Im cleaning my body and my mind.
Im running in double time until you are erased.
Until you are replaced.
