My Trust is a feeble thing,
I have starved her so long,
You'd think she escaped
From Auschwitz
She's barely alive.

Desperate for a home,
She roams,
in the blue,blue skies,
But does the sparrow ever nest,
Where her broken eggs lie?

Yes, I do love poetry. I am not very good at writing it though so I read it. I love what words can do, how they can make someone feel or think. It is amazing.

Oh, I read and commented on the original version. I think I like that one better, it is short and makes an impact. I feel that the short poems are usually that way. They can be deep and meaningful without being wordy. With something like trust, I think it is better to impact with little words. It is a fragile topic and a condensed poem would fit the "feeble trust" you are portraying through words.
