"It doesn't matter how slow you go as long as you don't stop"

I hate the night
Not enough safety quite
All I want is a wink
Away from realitys brink
I cannot sleep
When demons creep
With my fading care
I arouse the old nightmare
I cannot lay
While monsters play
Terrorized with sins
The nightmare begins
Truthful tales laced with fear
Stealing a forgotten tear
No lustful fantasies
Just twisted memories
The past is painfully clear
When sleep is nowhere near

This poem came to me one night when I couldn't sleep. I was thinking of everything that had been going wrong and thats where I got the nightmare and "monsters" idea. Hope you enjoy it.
