clairvoyant MAG
I was clairvoyant today.
I felt feelings through you (and your
nervousness needled into me like a quilt
and I guess that just makes me patchwork-mad;
almost) but it was a turning – yeah,
there was definitely a turning thing going on there.
Like you said you felt water brimming over inside you,
crying star maps all over the lining of your stomach,
and I knew that because I felt that: it
surged into and out of me like barbed wire crooked-lining a fence,
but then it was kind of calm, too.
Maybe the barbed wire was really Cat's Cradle string and
maybe the fence was just a couple bed posts
because you did say a lucid man used to sit outside your doorway
while you slept, your feet glued to the microfibers of your bedsheets.
And then you said you were afraid
to leave this state, like it knew you or something,
and you said I had a gray atmosphere, mundane monochrome,
(but maybe that was you – sad, gray, fleeting, kind-of-but-not).
But all of it was a turning;
sun up-and-down, stars in-and-out,
cerebellumbrainfreeze kind of full circle.
But then again –
maybe I was just finally
paying attention.
