isn't there a place where thoughts can fly
where essential forms of nature,
like the soft lips of the Jimson Weed and the green waves that catch us heart and soul
are what makes us human
where those primitive forms of glory and those walls plastered with the letters of time
force us to places we can reach but cannot see
and ask us to sip from the ladle of the soup of life
causing all our reasons to continue fading
into that superior white perfection of a place where only thoughts can fly

I was in a writing camp at Butler and we took a trip to the Indianapolis Museum of Art and this is the result of notes I took while there.

Here we are in chemistry class. There's no chemistry in this room, though.....it's an all-girls school and no one's brave enough to be lesbian.

If you love something, let it go, if it comes back to you it's yours, if it doesn't, it never was.

This is really beautiful! Keep writing.
