I was Always There
You were away, so far it seemed.
But I was always there.
No matter how much I dreamed,
You didn't seem to care.
The time, it passed my eyes and
When I stopped to look,
The sun would set, the sun would rise,
It was already me you took.
You told me you loved me,
But you couldn't wait.
I tried not to despise she,
And give her my hate.
I hated you, I really tried,
And just couldn't let go.
I couldn't stop, just cried and cried,
Had never felt so low.
The way you were gone,
Left someone so scarred.
Not really that long,
I said it was too hard.
And then here I wait,
Always, for your return.
For someone I did hate,
He loved me, he would learn.
