'Time"
You’re your daddy’s girl,
And you’re momma’s world.
You turn 5, you’re ready to
start school.
Wanting to make some friends
and be somebody cool.
You’re 10.
You think being double
digits is the coolest thing
that’s ever been.
You turn 13 you think
you’re real tough stuff.
Little did you realize
being a teenager is real
tough.
You’re 16 you can drive
You have to be careful
so you can stay alive.
You’re 18 you’re
moving out.
Off to college to
find out with life’s
really all about.
You’re now 40
you look at the past.
You think and wonder
why didn’t that last?
You wanna make it back
home. Don’t take forever
next time.
You only have a lifetime.
