Lies for me

It’s just a lie,
Something that made me want to cry,
If you didn’t loved me answer me this,
Why did you say you missed my kiss?
I thought about how I fell for you,
It made me laugh as I remembered you had no clue.
You called me the next day and whispered “I’m sorry”,
I sat back and listened as my tears started falling.
I whispered, “You said you didn’t love me,”
He said he had to in order to protect me,
I smiled and whispered, “I love you”,
He said “You know as well that I do to.”
