Eyes are Openning
How many of us
truely open our eyes
when we are running around
pretending to be busy
with our lives
The people we don't notice
the things we don't see
when we are caught up in our lives
things to do
places to be
Maybe it is that boy
that's always been in your class
but you never noticed him
you were too busy
your life was moving to fast
Stop for a second
open your eyes
don't miss out on opportunity
don't let your life
pass you by
Someone once said
stop and smell the roses
and like the tortous and the hare
the one that moves the fastest
is the one that always loses
So maybe we need to take a second
and not be scared to cry
let out all our feelings
so the world knows who we truely are
before we start to die
Because in the end we all must look
back on what we did with our lives
and everyone wants to say their life was good
that they did everything they wanted
and not have to lie.
