Letter to Self
Dear self,
I've been screaming and shouting
My hands bloody from pounding
the table
I've been crying and yelling
and telling and telling you
I'm not able
What are your ears for
If not for listening
You hearing my words
But it's the meaning of them your missing
Can you stop for a second?
I've been hiding and lying
So scared, you had me denying
the truth
I've been acting and faking
What point was I making?
Oh that's right none
Who are you?
If you can't even accept who you are
I know I'm there somewhere
But I'm still way too far
From
me
