Sunday Morning
Sunny sky
a little too warm for comfort
Church.
I go with my grandmother
every summer
but this is different
it's with my parents
and i'm not really connected with them
it's a different church
I'm kind of nervous
I'm someone who
doesn't like church
who isnt "right" with God
I dont like changes
and this is a big change
All I'll do
is sit in a pew
and write
write this poem
I'm dressed in a nice shirt
and jeans
We listen to "One"
by Metallica on the way
it calms my nerves
but only a little
this scares me
I'm not religious
I've tried certain things
but it doesn't work out
I'm nervous that i might get struck by lightning
as soon as I walk through the door lol.
Oh no we're here
I swallow and get out to face a new change
