this is joy.
I have been to the middle and back again
When the day is held in the center of your hand
I choose to stay on these close to summer days
I need not remind myself that eternal doesn’t exist
Time is bittersweet as it tumbles away
Still I am captured & held in lovers mist
Life is prized as alive
When forgiveness is given lush is what it seems
So I will push away from disturbing memories put aside
For lack of emptiness my world is filled with joy
I remember that I am a silly girl
& you, a beyond exceptional boy.
