When Worlds Collide
Plink plop drip
But that’s not what’s keeping me
in here
Smile stop slip
But you’re not what’s keeping me
in fear
If it rains out there,
It rains in my heart too
If you smile somewhere,
I smile in my heart
for you
But can you hear the
plink plop drip?
You, who’d have chivalry tattooed on your chest
You, who delight in being apart from the rest
You built your own world
of hobbits and fractions and Bach
And you can be a Jedi or a philosopher
and no one questions it anymore
But can you hear the
plink plop drip?
Or are you too deep in you world
to notice the girl
who smiles if you smile
(even once in a while)
Are you too deep in your world
to notice the rain
in this one?
To notice the pain
in this one?
I can smile if you smile
(just once in a while)
But I can’t love you
if you’re there
I’m here
(Plink plop drip)
I’m here
(Smile stop slip)
I’m here
If you decide
no more fear
My world is here
And it could be yours too.
