Birthday Party
She didn’t know it was a trick
She was only trying to fit in
The present was wrapped
Her hair had a cute little pin
She ran in the house to have fun
After hug and a kiss from her mom
They were playing dress up
Everyone was going to the prom
The cake had been served
The ice cream was long gone
They were all tucked into bed
She wouldn’t know until dawn
When they arose for chocolate chip pancakes
There was a loud belt
Everyone laughed and giggled
There was no hair where she felt
In the middle of the night
A scissors had come out
She went to bed with two pony tails
Now she has one and a sprout
