Missing The Old You
I thought I knew you,
Clearly I was wrong,
I thought I knew everything,
I was incorrect,
I thought you were the one,
I was mistaken,
I thought you were perfect,
That’s false now,
But what if I did know you?
What if you changed?
Maybe I’m wrong again,
But I know If I’m right, I truly miss the old you.
The old you who told the truth,
The old you who was modest and simple,
The old you who would loved the Yankees more then life,
The old you who lived off of pizza and skittles,
Always apologized, was silly and a good friend.
If the old you is still in there,
Tell him I say hello,
And I deeply miss him.
