The Great I Was
I was so many things.
I was quiet.
I was just a whisper upon your lips.
I was a giant.
I was the movement of your hips.
I was the gossip
Upon the world's top and bottom lip.
I was unique.
And no one could be what I used to be.
I was this, I was that.
I was the rain
And the thunder crack.
I was powerful.
King of the ocean.
Yet I was trustworthy.
I, also, was every motion.
I was small.
I was tall.
I was the call of the eagle's claw.
I was everything you saw.
But.
Now.
I am no more.
No more than the beaches shore
or the corner store.
I am history,
But I'm still a mystery.
