Tattoos MAG
I've tattooed them on my bones
The wants, knowns and unknowns
Created a chimera to call mine
Gave it a whole life I've designed
The X's, Y's, and Z's all fit
Surely nothing could have been amiss
But then, in a flash of smoke
Ethereal eyes opened, awoke
To the sensations of our world
Half man, half bird, talons curl'd
It tore through the cage
Screeching in demonic rage
Trounced me, broke me against the door …
And in my last breath on this cold floor
I've tattooed them on my bones
All the wants, knowns and unknowns
Hoping someone will come along
And figure out where I went wrong.
