The Art of Living
Babies;
cradle them
and never let them go.
Hold them close to your heart
and understand their cries.
Children;
give them great big bear hugs
and hold them forever in your arms.
Watch them grow with memories to spare
and let them dream of sugar plums.
Teenagers;
love them forever
and understand their will.
Hearts can be broken
and it is yours that will forgive.
Adults;
born to learn the way of patience
and spread their knowledge of grace.
To go through child birth
and dealing with teenagers of demonic hordes.
Grandparents;
knowing all with precise expertise
and a sight not to be reckoned with.
Loving their children's children and their own
and knowing that they've finished the job.
