The Hunt
I hear what sounds like a deer behind the stand.
Not sure if i am right,
Trying to remember if i put any corn back there.
I slowly turn around, being careful not to be heard.
Slowly bringing the gun up to check trough the scope.
I see the white of the tail, and move the gun up till,
I see the head.
He has points, how many, couldnt tell.
I move the gun back down to behind the shoulder blade.
Wait for the perfect shot, and it comes.
I slow my breathing, and fight to keep control of the adrinaline.
And take the shot, the deer goes down.
I wait a few minutes to make sure he's dead.
Remembering that it's part of the cycle of life.
So i start my walk through the field to start the rest of the process.
And let the adrinaline take control.
