Wait Your Turn
You'll have your chance
To stomp on my heart as well
Don't worry about the pain
you will cause me
No one else has
Step up
Stomp hard,
Don't hold any back
I do not cry
though I feel immense pain
for I am used to it by now
How many stomps
can my bruised heart take
before it wont just bruise anymore
The bandages I've been given
are wearing mighty thin
they're only a mask to
cover the splitting cracks beneath
tiny cracks grow wider every day
no relief is close at hand
Just line up,
Take your time
It hurts more when you wait
then give me my bandage
I'll tape up my wounds
so the next person in line
can start the pain all anew
