The Normal Ones
They are the ones
Who always have a smile on their
Faces, even when something is wrong.
They are the ones
Who laugh at jokes that aren’t
Funny just to fit in.
They are the ones
Who make fun of others
So not to be made fun of.
They are the ones
Who only cry
When they think crying
Will given them attention.
They are the ones
Who pretend to be someone
they’re not because they can’t
Stand up for themselves
They are the ones
Who have pushed passed me
And laughed at me as I stood crying
I am the one
Who lets all my emotions
Show on my face.
I am the one
Who only cries
When I feel something is sad.
I am the one
Who stood shaking my head
When I saw the people hiding their true personalities.
I am the one
Who laughs only when I
Hear something funny.
I am the one
Who stands up for myself
And anyone I honor by calling my friend.
I am the one
Who just rolls my eyes
When I hear the term “normal”.
I am the one
Who has finally realized
That normal is being weird.
