Dear Beautiful Eyes
Beautiful eyes can you see me now?
And if you could what would you think?
Would you turn your back and say that I stink?
And would you know who I was anymore?
Because dear beautiful eyes, you knew me once before.
And I knew you… Or did I?
Yes, no, yes, no, yes, no…
I don’t know.
I long for your touch
Your voice
Your smell
Your embrace
Oh, I remember it well
You used to smile at me
when we were young…
But there was a tear in you
when your family took you away,
To live a thousand miles thata way.
So, dear beautiful eyes if you saw me now,
would you recognize me somehow?
Or would we both just be another face in the crowd…
But I know that’s not true,
Because you’re more than just eyes,
You’re a person too.
