Memories of Love
I remember we didn’t know how it would be but
the summer was in our hands.
we went to a country concert and
rode the train to the museum and
took pictures in the photo booth and
went to the beach and
ran up and down the hills and
you got me to play in the waves despite
my fear of water.
We bought a stuffed monkey who I sleep with every night and
rode our bikes 28 miles around the lake
in matching bandanas.
And we bronzed our skin and
went jet skiing and
walked along the pier and
watched movies
And we
fell in love.
I never thought the days would end so quickly;
a summer I will never forget
thanks to you.
