A Poem For You
If I could tell you one thing
It’d be about what I’d wished
The future would bring
Telling you how I feel
Is like doing a crossword puzzle in pen
If I’m wrong, I can’t take it back, it’s real
And what would happen then?
Telling you how much I care
Would be like loving a song bird
Can’t hold you down, fly in the air
Never return for a tender word
I tell you, I like you
And like may transform to love
I’ve never felt such a frightening emotion like this for you
And if you feel the same,
There will be two song birds flying above
If I could tell you one thing
I’d tell it to you plain
I like you, no matter what the future may bring
