Suffer
I can’t believe this happened,
Oh, how naïve I’ve been,
If I’d had half a brain,
I would’ve listened to my best friends,
But of course,
Life doesn’t always work out the way we plan, does it?
I thought maybe this time we’d make it,
There was more likely of a chance,
How stupid I was,
To think we could have been,
When you said you loved me always and forever,
You obviously didn’t mean it,
Or at least it doesn’t seem like it,
Why did you feed me all those lies?
Or at least that’s what it feels like,
Because if you really meant it,
You wouldn’t want to break my heart,
Over and over,
I should learn,
Bur I know I haven’t,
And I’ll suffer in turn.
