Make a hole of your own
From far away you cannot see
The holes and tears inside of me
Only held by flimsy string
They rip open and leave a sting
It lingers there for quite a while
Until someone can make me smile
But they make a little hole of their own
And they leave it there to be sewn
Eventually it will wear away
And the sun will shine on another day
But another always comes along
And someone ends up doing wrong
Over time it too will end
And another hole is left to mend.
