I touch the glass with curiosity
Never has it been here before
Beyond I see the path
It continues without me
Right and left are choices
These paths don't have glass walls
Right is paved
Left is sand
Ahead is grass
I twist my toes to savor it
Behind I see my footsteps
I've traveled them once
Back is not my choice
But back I go
I pass my recent
Stop when I reach a distance
Run ahead
This is my choice
Gaining speed along the grass path
The glass comes into view
I thrust ahead, to my choice
I brace against the glass
Shards surround me
Bloody and sore I rise
Cooling the sores with my grass
I marvel at the path
Before me are legions
Behind me are miles
As I step forward
The glass is left behind in pieces
And the grass is cool on my feet

It symbolizes obstacles, obviously. I just felt like approaching my topic in a different way this time, so this came out.

Gee, thanks. Haha. My self-esteem just boosted a ton. I think I can honestly say this is my favorite of my poems.

Woah, that was amazing! The picture you created was amazing and your writing style was amazing!

The story you tell is one that should be told and retold, but you were definitley the right one to first put pen to paper.
