One Day You'll Realize
I am always present,
Though sometimes hard to find.
When times are good,
I'm ignored and for granted,
I am taken.
When times are dire,
You'll look to me,
You'll pray for me,
You'll desire me.
I will always come.
But what if I grow tired,
Of people only recognizing me
In the toughest of times?
What if, in your darkest hour,
I chose, not to come?
Would you cherish me then?
Understand all I do?
I cause flowers to open,
Soldiers to fight,
And broken hearts to mend.
I posses everyone,
Help everyone,
And am always there--
If you look.
You need me more than air,
One day you'll realize,
Just how much,
You need Hope.
