Valentine's Day...part one
Breaking hearts
Is throwing darts,
And missing the inner core.
Loving love is really dumb
And running is much, much worse.
All the blaring television screens
Mock and prod and pull at the seams
Valentine's Day is just another commercial holiday
And it's just not worth it to change.
I miss you
And I can't laugh, or smile
Without you.
Trying to make it through
Another day
Tears running down my face
Isn't worth it
To live and learn without you
A day seams like a year
A week like a century
Two hundred years is forever
But with you is a moment
Teensy little thoughts span
For miles across my mind
Torturing me with little snapshots
Of memory, of life.
I hear your voice and I carry it with me in my mind
Your laugh, coming out of my imagination
Gives me chills and makes my heart sing
Makes it ache and regret and long
But happiness will eventually outdo my sadness,
I hope.
I can see all of the strangest things...
I can imagine them..
I can see.
