Our Own Empire
So, I’m finally building you that empire,
And I’m filling it with your every want; you’re every desire.
It’s not quite finished yet,
Even though I’ve been working on it since the first day we met.
I’ve always been paying attention,
To things that you do, things that you mention.
So that I can take it all into consideration,
To finally find that perfect formation.
Formation of perfect hope and love,
Something that we can both, one day be in awe of.
Because it will be the greatest thing you will ever lay your eyes on,
The greatest part being that it will be something we can forever build upon.
It will be like our own little perfect world,
With both of our thoughts and feelings forever entwined and twirled.
And with that we will both finally be on the same page,
So that we can forget all of our troubles and just engage,
Into an everlasting embrace,
Of a feeling we could never replace.
So, hopefully when that empire’s finally done,
You will know for sure that I’m the one.
That one you want to spend the rest of your life next to,
Because you in my arms is long overdue.
