The feather white with color,
threaded with thin strands of silk,
falling,
touchdown to the ground.
In an instant the feather darkens
wet with dew
with one gust wind whispered its name and it was gone
never to be seen again.

originally written for my language arts class. My teacher found very poetic and interesting. Also, due to the poetic descriptions of the feather.
